Data Recovery on Your iPhone
Technology is great, but those little buttons on your iPhone make it so easy to accidentally delete a file. If you've sent a file to the trash and fear it's gone forever, rest assured that there is a good chance you'll have that file back in just a short amount of time.

The first thing to try involves your backup functions. The iCloud is a feature that is it built into every new Mac device. It allows you to backup your files into a single "cloud" on Apple’s servers so you can access your files, pictures and more from any device. If you have been backing up your files onto the iCloud on a regular basis, there is a good chance your files are stored here and can be accessed at any time from your iPhone or other Mac device. Read more about iCloud here and here.
Every time you sync your iPhone with iTunes, all of your files are backed up automatically to the iCloud. Each time you sync, your files are continuously updated. However, these backed up files are not stored in typical file formats. In fact, the file extension for these files is ".sqlitedb". This is not a type of file that can be viewed, and therefore it would seem impossible to recover your files. In order to extract the deleted files and restore them to a readable format, you need to use a data recovery program, such as Data Recovery for iTunes, designed specifically for such a procedure. Once you have the recovery program, you can even restore the files if your iPhone has been lost or destroyed. The program can be installed on any Mac device. Once it has been installed, it can extract those deleted files and save them in a common format that your device will read.
If your files are not stored in the iCloud, then you will need to find a high quality recovery program to restore the files directly from the iPhone. Software, such as SD iPhone Recovery Software, can help you to recover call histories, contact numbers and other information directly from your iPhone’s internal memory. You simply install the program, connect your iPhone to your computer and send the software on a search for the deleted files on your phone. R-Tools R-studio for Mac devices can also be used to recover files from your iPhone in a similar manner, even if your data was not backed up to the iCloud.
There you have it. The recovery process for retrieving lost files from an iPhone is relatively simple. Because of the syncing feature through iTunes, it is an easy process to get those lost files back, keeping your stress levels to a minimum. Unfortunately, any information stored in the phone since the last time it was synced with iTunes requires a bit more effort, but is generally more than feasible with the right recovery software. Because of this, if you have an iPhone, it is very important to sync the device on a regular basis to ensure you never have to worry about permanently deleted file.
